FAQ COVID-19

Is it safe to visit Madurodam?

Yes, you can safely visit Madurodam. We do try to limit crowds in the park as much as possible. Together with our industry association Club van Elf and the Dutch Association of Zoos we have drawn up a protocol so that we can offer a safe day out to all of our visitors. We hope to welcome you again at Madurodam!

What measures are being taken at Madurodam?

Our "Out Together Safely" protocol provides three guarantees: we ensure a distance of 1.5 meters between households, sufficient and clear information and extra hygiene measures, both indoors and outdoors. One of the measures is that we open in a regulated way, you can only buy tickets online and you must reserve a time of arrival. This way we can avoid crowds at the entrance and in the park.

We have also applied special markings in all interior and exterior spaces, in the form of orange and magenta colored hearts. This way you know exactly how much distance you have to keep from other visitors. In addition, we have taken additional hygiene measures throughout the park, for example in the form of central disinfection points.

How can I make a reservation?

You can make a reservation for a day and time of arrival via our website.

Are all attractions open?

Yes, Madurodam is fully operational. We do work with a maximum number of visitors for the attractions so that we can guarantee a safe visit for everyone. So it might be possible that the queues are slightly longer.

Opening hours 3D scanner:

From Saturday, June 20 to July 10:

  • Open on weekends from 11am to 2pm.
  • Closed Monday to Friday.

From July 11 to August 30:

Can I bring my pet to Madurodam?

Pets are not permitted at Madurodam. Dog owners can leave their dog at the kennels free of charge, so you don't need to leave your dog in the car. Especially not during summer days. These are 1x1x1 metre pens. We have a limited number of spaces. So it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance via the reception  (+31704162400). We do not let out or feed your dog. We advise to bring food and for instance a blanket or toy, to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Assistance or guide dogs are allowed in Madurodam.

Is it allowed to smoke in Madurodam?

From 1/1/2020 smoking is not allowed anywhere else except on a designated part of the Taste of Holland terrace next to the entrance to the toilets (if you stand with your back to the taste of Holland, the right side). Smoking is not allowed on the terrace of the Panorama Café and on the outer ring and on the park itself.

What are the minimum ages for visiting the attractions?
